Saumur Les Pentes du Clos 2015,Chenin Blanc
Vinification in 225-litre and 400-litre barriques, one third new and two thirds second-hand, then 12 months on the lees in large 1200-litre barrels. Wonderful floral nasa, then apple and pear, lemon and honey, wet straw, white pepper. Taste very fresh and structured, majestic elegance, very persistent
Saumur Le Haie Nardin 2018Chenin Blanc
From a young vineyard on limestone land, accessible only on horseback, it ferments and ages for 10 months in 25 hectolitre barrels. White flowers, above all jasmine, then citrus notes of lemon and lime, sweet spices and great use of wood. The taste is fresh, light and easygoing, but only in appearance because the structure is important, the alcohol well integrated and the wood just right. Fabulous on the finish

Michel Chevrè began his exclusion in the world of wine in 1992 when he started working as cellar manager at the Domaine des Roches Neuves of the famous Thierry Germain.
Since 2007, he has owned a small plot of Chenin Blanc in Courchamps, under the Saumur AOC appellation. In 2009, he started making wine using the Germain cellar, thus giving birth to Clos de l'Ecotard.
Chevrè wine production is characterised by a non-interventionist approach in the vineyard and the use of indigenous yeasts in the cellar for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in barrels.
